. Donations made to Together for Tomorrow; NGO registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, are eligible for tax benefits. Here's a brief overview:
- Deduction Limit: Donations made to eligible NGOs can be claimed as a deduction from the total taxable income of the donor.
- Percentage of Deduction: The deduction made to Together for Tomorrow NGO will get You 50% of the donated amount, Irrespective to amount donated
- Taxable Income Limit: There may be certain limits on the maximum amount of donation eligible for deduction, typically 10% of the donor's gross total income.
- Receipt Requirement: To claim the deduction, donors must obtain a receipt & 10EEB from the NGO, clearly mentioning the amount donated and the NGO's registration details under Section 80G.
- Modes of Donation: Donations can be made in various forms to Together for Tomorrow NGO, including cash, cheque, demand draft, or electronic transfer, but it's essential to retain proof of the donation for tax filing purposes.
- Tax Filing: Donors to the must specify the donated amount and the relevant details like 10EEB from in their income tax returns to claim the deduction.
